Phase 1 Orthodontic Treatment Identify and address potential issues early for a healthier and straighter smile.
Wondering if early orthodontic treatment is right for your child? Parents naturally want the best for their kids, and that includes creating the most seamless path forward for their oral health.
At Chambers Street Orthodontics, we consult with parents of children aged seven and up to assess the necessity of an early orthodontic treatment for their kids. This is what we refer to as “Phase 1 Orthodontic Treatment.”
Our orthodontic professionals can identify issues with the bite and tooth position once he or she has reached the age of seven. In some cases, orthodontic treatment at this age can help prevent future problems.
Children with a variety of tooth-positioning problems (malocclusions) can benefit from this kind of intervention. Some of the many improvements we have seen include expanding the size of the palate to address jaw asymmetries, reducing the occurrence of impacted permanent teeth, making space for permanent teeth that have not yet erupted, and shortened treatment times for future orthodontic procedures.
